Update - March 2023

There really is news, but I neglected to report it here. Hence, this time an update on the past few months and what is still in the pipeline.

Three exhibitions featuring my work took place in the second half of 2022. I exhibited together with Peter Boersma at KW4 in Zwolle, in CONTRAPUNT X. We were allowed to decorate a corridor together and did so with great pleasure. Again, it was crazy to see how our work reacted to each other.

During the exhibition, a nice meeting took place with the gallery owner of the new gallery Alta Bosca in Gorredijk. He invited us to take part in a Christmas and New Year exhibition in his beautiful space and of course we accepted. Hopefully we will continue to work together in the future.

At Pictura Groningen, I exhibited with ten other women photographers in November and December. We called the exhibition "Was übrig bleibt", after a song lyric by Dreiviertelblut. The other exhibitors were Dorota Marcinkiewicz, Elsa Parant, Gosia Kaliściak, Hanna Snijder, Jasmijn Duterloo, Johanna von Oldershausen, Maria Dabrowski, Monique Baan, Paulien Menzel andKarlijn van Diepen. I showed a totally new project. The Unseen Imagines Itself consists of vague images, thin layers and textual fragments.

In 2023, I participated in INCL.Lijst, a group exhibition organised by Atelier Horneman. This Groningen-based framer exists 12,5 years and celebrated it with an exhibition in which only work framed by Horneman was shown.

In the pipeline:

Salon WEP - For the exhibition SALON, the artists working in WEP invited more than 50 fellow artists to whom they feel connected. The entire project space of WEP will be filled with their artworks which will result in a surprising and diverse image of the contemporary art scene in Groningen. The opening is on March 24.

BAX Sneek - A major exhibition in my city of birth Sneek! I show photographic work from different series I made since my graduation. So it is a kind of retrospective of my career as an artist so far. The exhibition also includes ceramics by Riet Bakker. The opening is on April 8.
